Belfort, a land of contrast between the Vosges and the Jura mountains, near the Alsace wine region, Switzerland and Germany deserves attention

Belfort is certainly a country town with its parks and gardens, its fountains, its facades in harmonious colors, but also has all the attributes of a great city with a highly developed cultural background: its museums, theater Granit (national scene), the National Choreographic Centre of Franche-Comté in Belfort ...
The old city surrounded by fortifications of Vauban is a tourist destination, with the Lion of Belfort breathtaking work of Bartholdi, the symbol of the heroic resistance of Belfort, in 1870, or the citadel. You will enjoy strolling through these streets, especially at the flea market the first Sunday of each month or stop at the terrace of one of its many cafes in the summer.
If you are a nature lover, you will take pleasure in the variety of landscapes offered by the Territory and the two mountain ranges that come together and make Belfort a single department in France. You can also relax at the Ballon d'Alsace (30 minutes by car) or Malsaulcy.

Do not miss the upcoming events: The Lion of Belfort will be 130 years old in september 17th and 18th, 2011
